An Implausible Love Story

Saturday, March 11, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Join us for a day of storytelling, teaching, delicious food, and fellowship as we gather for a one-day retreat here at the church on Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM! Doors will open at 8:30 AM for coffee, registration, and settling in.

Our speakers this year are Debbie Petersen and Nancy Ruiz, friends since 1998 who have a passion for sharing their faith with others.

This is an ideal event to bring your friends and neighbors to connect to our sweet community and to provide a winsome introduction to the grace and beauty of the Gospel. Even if you can only come for part of the day (no matter how small a part), please join us!

The registration fee is $20 which will help cover some of the costs of food and materials. Scholarships are available – we don’t want anything to prevent you from attending! There will be a place on the registration form to indicate that. And if you’d like to contribute so that others can attend, there is a place for you to do that as well.

We request that you register by March 1 (using this link) for planning purposes.

We cannot wait to enjoy this fun and fabulous day with you!

Questions? Please reach out to: pam_whitmore@yahoo.com, judi.sabella@gmail.com, or ninalwalters@verizon.net

About our speakers:

Debbie Petersen works with Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ), mentoring women of all ages and backgrounds. Her passion is introducing women to the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing them grow and mature in their faith in order to share their joy with others. She is a member of Crossbridge Church, Brickell (PCA) in Miami.

Nancy Ruiz lives in Vienna, VA with her husband and has five children (plus a daughter-in-love who is expecting Nancy’s first grandbaby, due in March!). She loves to share the parable of the Prodigal Son from the middle eastern perspective, recapturing what Jesus’ hearers would have heard themselves and rescuing truth from the familiar. She is a member of McLean Presbyterian Church’s Board of Women.
