We offer a variety of ways for women to be encouraged and strengthened in their faith, as well as to use their talents and gifts to serve God and his people.

Our three Women’s Ministry branches are:

Women to Women, Bible Studies, and Specialty Groups

Women to Women

This group of women plans several events throughout the year providing opportunities for women’s fellowship.  They organize events and activities that build relationships, encourage women and provide spiritual and social support to the women of FPC and to women of the North Shore.

We will be adding a Fall ‘meet up’ event soon, but in the mean time mark your calendars NOW for our Christmas event, Thursday, December 6 from 7-9 pm.  Also save the date for our spring (ok, semi-spring) retreat this year in Laconia, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee March 22-24 (the 22nd is an optional early night).

Are you a woman new to the area/new to FPC?

Looking for a way to connect with other women? Please join us for our Newcomer’s Fall Meet & Greet on Sunday, October 14 (6:00 – 7:30 pm, 2nd floor of CLC building, Ipswich campus). Come for a time of fellowship and enjoy some fall goodies as we get to know one another. Come meet “alumni” from our “Moving On After Moving In” discussion groups, and learn more about our next group scheduled to begin in January. For more info, contact: Debbie Sweeney (debsweeney08@verizon.net) or Kendra Burke (kendra.wells.burke@gmail.com).

Women-to-Women team members:   Esther Baird, Kendra Burke, Karen Colaneri, Pat Christensen, Christine Gordon, Tera Hagen,  Jenna Higgins, Wendy Pike

Bible Studies

Our women’s ministry offers three weekly Bible study on Tuesday mornings, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday evenings.  Our goal is to foster intentional fellowship and spiritual growth as women gather together to discuss how God’s word and our lives intersect. For more information about those, click here.

Specialty Groups

Spiritual Growth Book Clubs

These book clubs provide an opportunity for women interested in developing/growing an area of their spiritual life via a short but intentional book club facilitated by select women capable of helping women asses their strengths, learning needs, and ministry applications. A secondary objective is to create an environment where women can build new relationships and connect across age/career/marital/parenting lines.  Stay tuned for our next group!

“Moving On After Moving In” Women’s Small Group Study.  A Christ-centered 8-session study helping women cope with the challenges, emotions, and losses of a move and equipping them to put down roots in a new place.  Based on the book, After the Boxes are Unpacked: Moving On After Moving In, by Susan Miller, president of the “Just Moved Ministry” (www.just-moved.org).  The study will address emotional struggles and opportunities for spiritual growth as women start afresh in their new communities.

Please contact Esther at esther@fpcnorthshore.com for information about any of these groups.
