We offer a variety of ways for women to be encouraged and strengthened in their faith, as well as to use their talents and gifts to serve God and his people.
Our three Women’s Ministry branches are:
Women to Women, Bible Studies, and Specialty Groups
Women to Women
Women to Women
This group of women plans several events throughout the year providing opportunities for women’s fellowship. They organize events and activities that build relationships, encourage women and provide spiritual and social support to the women of FPC and to women of the North Shore.
Ladies, it’s finally here!! Our 2018 Women’s Retreat:
“What is Your Story? Making Sense of Your Place in God’s Epic Drama”
This year we will be going to a new location on Lake Winnipesaukee called The Margate on April 7 and 8. Our new location offers us enough space to all fit within the same hotel, an indoor pool, plenty of meeting space with floor to ceiling lake views, a hot breakfast buffet and best of all, all double occupancy rooms have two beds!
This year we are thrilled to announce that our speaker will be Dr. Gwenfair Adams, Associate Professor of Church History, and the Director of the Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation at Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary.
Please register as soon as you are able as the hotel will release our rooming block to the public by March 19th (that’s only three weeks away!). As always there is an optional second night, as well as limited scholarships. Contact Esther with any questions!
Women-to-Women team members: Brooke Baker, Esther Baird, Kendra Burke, Karen Colaneri, Pat Christensen, Christine Gordon, Tera Hagen, Wendy Pike
Our women’s ministry also offers weekly Bible study for more intentional fellowship and spiritual growth as women gather together to discuss how God’s word and our lives intersect. For more information about those, click here.
We are currently offering two ongoing Specialty Groups:
Spiritual Growth Book Clubs
These book clubs provide an opportunity for women interested in developing/growing an area of their spiritual life via a short but intentional book club facilitated by select women capable of helping women asses their strengths, learning needs, and ministry applications. A secondary objective is to create an environment where women can build new relationships and connect across age/career/marital/parenting lines.
When: Each club runs only five weeks. Stay tuned for specific sign up instructions.
