First Presbyterian Church is committed to minister to the youth of our congregation and the surrounding communities through separate Middle School and High School groups. We work with parents to help their kids grow in the Christian faith during their teen years.


Students who become involved in FPCs youth programs will find solid Bible teaching, friendship, spiritual encouragement, a purpose for living that is larger than themselves, good fun which is not chemically induced, and moral support in dealing with the challenges of life.


Youth Ministry at FPC is lead by two full-time youth staff – youth director, Jon Evans, assistant youth director, Anna Hadorn, a staff of dedicated adult volunteers, and an active church committee overseeing and supporting the youth ministry.

Middle School



Special Events Happening Soon


Middle School Youth Group has started up for the new season! We meet on Wednesday nights from 5:45 till 7:30. You will not want to miss a single week. We’ve got free pizza, goofy games, skits, videos and a Bible lesson too. Invite a friend and come on out. We are meeting on November 20, but we will not meet on November 27 because of Thanksgiving.


Middle School Girls Bible Study meets on Sunday nights each week from 6:00-7:30 pm. This is  a super great way to make some good friends and to grow in your faith. Hope to see you there. Boys Bible study will be back soon.

Ipswich Sunday Morning Sunday School – 10:15 – 11:00am during the school year

Michael Colaneri leads a team of teachers who meet each week with the students seeking to instill in them the truths of God’s word. This class meets in the front room of our office building.


Bible Study – Sunday Nights during the school year 6:00 – 7:30pm 

Girls you get to, you know, do girl stuff and hang out with  Dawn, Becki and Becca. If you haven’t been yet, come and check it out. 


Youth Group – Wednesday Nights during the school year – 5:45 – 7:30 pm 

Tons of Pizza, crazy games, skits, videos, the opportunity to hang out with friends, and the chance to be challenged and encouraged from God’s Word, the Bible.

Soul Fest -August 6-8, 2020

Three whole days jam-packed with Christian music?! It’s true! Don’t miss this chance to camp out, share meals with our group and drag your youth leaders to the craziest concerts on the schedule like For King and Country, 10th Avenue North and  Switchfoot! Deerwander, August 11-15, 2020

The best Middle School Summer Camp Ever! Our days are packed with super fun games, clan challenges, activities, swimming, Bible lessons, craft shack, snack shack, volleyball, water balloons, the Babe Ruth Challenge, Capture the Flag and lots lots more. Deerwander will be held at Camp Berea in Maine. 



Profession of Faith Class

This class is designed to assist a young person in his or her desire to make a profession of faith at First Presbyterian Church. This is a great opportunity for our pastors to work together with our youth to understand what it means to follow Christ. Students must be 12 years of age or older to participate. The next session will take place in Spring of 2020. You must pre-register with the church office.

Special Events Happening Soon

On Saturday morning, November 16th, we’re going to get up, have breakfast together

in the youth room, and watch some favorite Saturday morning cartoons together! Come in your PJs if you want! We’ll hang out from 9-11:00 am.


On Saturday, November 23rd, we are visiting our friends at the Providence Rescue mission! We’ll get to help them put together meal baskets for families in need. Each year they provide around 1,500 take-home dinners with all the holidays fixings. It’s going to be a great day – come meet our friends in Providence and check out the work God is doing there! We’ll leave from church at 8:00 am sharp, and get back at about 5:30 pm.


Regular Weekly Activities


Sunday Morning Sunday School – 10:15 – 11:00am in Ipswich

Sunday mornings we meet upstairs in the couch room to study God’s word together and seek to apply it to our daily lives. We always have cereal, lively conversation, and visitors are always welcome as think and talk together about integrating God’s word into the way we live out our lives. Come check out our current topic – The Christian life in action!


Bible Study – Wednesday Nights 6:00 – 7:30pm (during Fellowship Night)

Come dive a little deeper into what living for Jesus really means, ask questions, and have meaningful conversations with friends. Bible Study is taught by Liz Devenney and Scott Poblenz, and there is always a tasty dessert to enjoy!


Youth Group – Sunday Nights – 6:00 – 7:30 pm 

Come hang out with friends, eat snacks, have fun, sing, and talk about things that matter with people who care. Sunday nights together are a great place to learn about who Jesus is, How much God loves us, and how we can live life right because of it. And of course Nicks will be happening too!



Camps &  Trips

Summer Mission TripJuly 12-19, 2019

This summer 24 students from both campuses will spend a week in Providence, RI engaging in meaningful service to people in need. We will learn a lot about what life is like for the poor, about what God can do through our willingness to serve, and about what being called to live like Jesus means for us as we interact with the world. Please pray for those going on the trip!


Soul Fest – Coming Summer 2019, August 1-4

The most musical camping you will ever experience. You’ll see artists like Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Rend Collective, and Matthew West just to start ‘em off! You’ll camp and eat with us, have devotionals with us, swim, hike, ride the chair, eat bagels and goof around at the campsite with us. You can sign up by clicking here.


High School Deerwander – Coming Summer 2019
