First Presbyterian Church is committed to ministering to the youth of our congregation and the surrounding communities through separate Middle School and High School groups. We work with parents to help their kids grow in the Christian faith during their teen years.
Students who become involved in FPCs youth programs will find solid Bible teaching, friendship, spiritual encouragement, a purpose for living that is larger than themselves, good fun which is not chemically induced, and moral support in dealing with the challenges of life.
Youth Ministry at FPC is led by youth director, Jon Evans, a staff of dedicated adult volunteers, and an active church committee overseeing and supporting the youth ministry.

Middle School

Special Events Happening Soon
We’re going Bowling! On Friday, March 31 we are headed out for some super-fun bowling and some super-yummy ice cream. We’ll leave from church at 5:30 and be back at 9:30. The cost is $15 for bowling and you’ll want extra cash for ice cream and video games. You can eat dinner before you arrive, or buy snacks at the bowling alley. Regular Weekly Activities
Sunday School – 10:45-11:30 am.
Philip and Elizabeth Jones lead a team of teachers who meet each week with the students seeking to instill in them the truths of God’s word. Class meets in the front room of the office building.
Youth Group – Wednesday Nights during the school year
5:45-7:30 pm
Youth Group is back with games, skits, videos, the opportunity to hang out with friends, and the chance to be challenged and encouraged by God’s Word, the Bible. Please contact Jon for the most current info about this.

Soul Fest – August 3-5, 2023
Three whole days jam-packed with Christian music?! It’s true! Don’t miss this chance to hear some of your favorite bands. Plans are up in the air right now with the event moving to the Topsfield Fairgrounds, but as soon as we have more information from Soul Fest we’ll let you know our plans. It is going to be so good!
Deerwander – August 8-12, 2023
The best Middle School Summer Camp Ever! Our days are packed with super fun games, clan challenges, activities, swimming, Bible lessons, craft shack, snack shack, volleyball, water balloons, the Babe Ruth Challenge, Capture the Flag, and lots lots more. Registration will open on Wednesday, April 5!
Profession of Faith Class
This class is designed to assist a young person in his or her desire to make a profession of faith at First Presbyterian Church. This is a great opportunity for our pastors to work together with our youth to understand what it means to follow Christ. Students must be 12 years of age or older to participate.

High School
HIGH SCHOOL
Youth group happens on Sunday nights from 6:00 to 7:30. Each week there is time to catch up with friends, an activity, the opportunity to worship God and to learn from his word, and time to talk and pray in small groups. Hope to see you there!
Bible Study is on Wednesday nights, 6:00 to 7:30 at the Poblenz’s. You can meet there or take the van from church. Come study, learn, and grow with us.
Mission Trip to Providence is happening July 6-8, 2023. Consider coming with us to serve the people of Providence. We’ll be serving meals, giving away clothes, running a family fun day, and learning about the power of the Gospel in a very difficult and challenging environment. It will be a great, life-changing experience. To learn more and to get an application please click here.
